On September 19, 2014, George Marshall Elkins, Jr. passed away at home in Bel Air, MD. He was the son of the late George and Margaret Irene Elkins. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Rhonda L. (nee Berlinicke) Elkins. He is survived by his loving children: Denise Earnshaw, Kim Elkins, Steve Elkins and his wife Karen; grandchildren, Jason, Megan, Chelsea, Kristin and Corey; his cherished brother, Robert Elkins. He was the brother-in-law of John Berlinicke and Phil Berlinicke and his wife Dorothy.
He was proud to serve in the US Army in Korea and as The Old Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and protective guard for President Truman. He loved the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens and was an avid history buff.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd. (at Rte 24) on Wednesday at 11 am with inurnment to follow at the Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery.
