Frank was born in Baltimore Maryland to the late Frank and Assunta (nee Pannone) Palumbo. He was a 1954 graduate of Mt. St. Joseph High School in Catonsville, Maryland. Frank spent his working career as a sales and customer service manager in the automobile industry until his retirement when he began a second career in the restaurant industry. He had a tireless zest for life and will be remembered by all who knew him as one who lived his life to the fullest, influencing many along the way. Frank often retold the advice he received from his grandfather, the ultimate measure of wealth is the love and admiration that you create with family.
Frank is survived by his wife Colleen (nee Pell) Palumbo, his children, Frank Palumbo and wife Cindy of Frostburg; Michael Palumbo and fiancé Chrissy of Perry Hall; John Palumbo of Fallston, Catherine Palumbo Schoonover of Perry Hall, Elizabeth Palumbo Lupton of Bel Air, Mary Jo Palumbo of Abingdon; Matthew Seglinski and Megan Seglinski of Abingdon. In addition, he is survived by 12 grandchildren: Ryan, Jessica, Jennifer, Jeremy, Michael, Sarah, Vincent, Tara, Neal, Nicholas and Colleen. Frank is also survived by two great grandchildren, Gabriella and Waylon; brother-in-law Lambert Clark Hutson, niece Theresa Hutson Cox and her husband Shawn and grandniece Carina; nephew Christopher Hutson and his wife Helen and grandnephew Dominic, nephew Keith Hutson and his wife Shelly and grandnephews Nicholas and Jonah and grandniece Emily.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister Mary Joanne Hutson; son-in-law David L. Schoonover and nephew Kevin Hutson.
Family and friends will be received at Schimunek Funeral Home at 610 W. McPhail Road, Bel Air Maryland on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. As well as at the Scarpelli Funeral home, at 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland Maryland on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 300 E. Old Town Rd, Cumberland. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
