Edward Foltz Sr

Edward Foltz Sr., age 86, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Beloved husband of 47 years to Nancy Foltz (nee Cochran); devoted father of Margie Smith and her husband Joe, Andrea Foltz and Kenny, Andrew Foltz Jr. and his wife Michelle, William Foltz and his wife Nancy, George Feilinger and Alisha Gibbons, and Michael Feilinger and his wife Kathy; loving grandfather of Andrew, Mandy, Dylan, Isabella, Alexander, Kim, Sarah, Emily, Josh, Jake, and the late Michelle; cherished great-grandfather of Kaiden and Baylee; dear brother-in-law of Donald Groomes and the late Betty Groomes. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and extended loving family and friends.

Ed’s pallbearers will be Joe Glackin, Carl Glackin, Jacob Gibbons, Andrew Foltz III, Nick Callas, and Tom Eckhardt; and honorary pallbearers, Dale Heller, and David Glackin.

Ed was the proud owner and operator of Foltz Automotive in Perry Hall since 1970. Ed had been involved in the automotive industry since he was 14 years old, retiring after seventy-two years. The business today is still owned and operated by the Foltz children. He was also an active member of the Kingsville Rotary Club, being awarded the highest honor, the “Paul Harris Award.” He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Bel Air. As snowbirds, he and Nancy would stay in Palm Bay, Florida, for the long Maryland winters. They also enjoyed cruises, taking eleven different trips together.

A visitation for Ed will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014 on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
