Norman Edward Dougherty

Norman Edward Dougherty, 93, passed away peacefully January 6, 2013. He was a life-long resident of Indianapolis, born to the late Harry and Savannah Dougherty. Norman was a tool and die maker for McQuay Norris for over 30 years and enjoyed more than 35 years of retirement, spending winters in Florida. Norman was a 50-year member of both Pleasant Masonic Lodge #134 and the Murat Temple. He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Lois (Moore) Dougherty; five children, Darleen (Ron) Liebert, Ronald (Sylvia) Dougherty, Thomas (Marsha) Dougherty, Terry (John) Burris, Debra (Chris) Viles; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen (Dougherty) McClellan. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel.
