James Donald "Don" Gardner, 88, of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Don was born on July 15, 1933 to the late Eugene and Edna (Massey) Gardner in Somerset, Kentucky.
Don worked as a salesman for Economy Plumbing Supply company, he retired after 50+ years. He was an avid golfer, and made many dear friends that shared the same hobby. When he wasn't golfing, he was cheering on the Cathedral football team. He was a dedicated fan, and never missed a game.
Don was a wonderful dad to his children (and his cats), a proud grandfather and great grandfather, and a dedicated husband to his wife.
Don is survived by his wife; Thelma "Jean" Gardner, his children; Richard (Debra) Gardner, Suzanne (Andrew) Marinakes, Sally (Eric) Patberg, Carrie (Larry) Fowler, Melissa Curry, 4 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his sister; Betty Gardner, and his brother; Charles Gardner.
There will be no public services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Don's memory may be made to your favorite charity.
