Mr. William Waitkus, age 91, of Crab Orchard, West Virginia passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 following a long illness. Born June 29, 1933 in Lester WV, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Jarvis Waitkus.
He was preceded in death by brother Charley Waitkus.
William was a service tech with Sears for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, music and gardening.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 61 years Sophia Marie Waitkus, his son William Jearld and wife Tracy; daughter Cynthia Marie and husband Richard; daughter Kelli Rae and husband Richard; brother Walter; and numerous extended family and friends. He was “Pop” to six grandchildren, Sonja Marianna, Willam Theodore, Richard Joseph, William Marik, Izabel Sophia and Elijah Oleg, and beloved pet Elie.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern West Virginia for the exceptional care provided to William.
In accordance with William’s wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice.
