Mrs. Ruby Christine (Lucas) Sauls

Ruby was born Ruby Christine Lucas on May 11, 1934, in Damron, WV to Homer and Beulah Lucas.

She was a homemaker and a devout Christian. She was a member of Bradley Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Sauls, brothers Homer Lee, James, Lenville Lucas and a sister Mary Stover.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Phyllis Pizzino of Buford, GA and Shelia Foster of Proctorville, OH. Three grandchildren Justin Pizzino of Flowery Branch, Ga, Kristen Foster of Barboursville, WV and Kaitlyn Foster of Culloden, WV. Two great-grandchildren Emily Pizzino and Jameson Foster. Three brothers Scottie (Brenda) of Keswick, Va Jerry (Marlene) and Dean of Damron, WV. Gail Hamilton of Damron, WV and Alma Radford (Jeff) of Amelia Courthouse, Va. A sister-in-law Minnie Lucas of Ghent, WV. A whole host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Ruby loved to cook, sew, garden, watch NASCAR, and shopping with her best friend Charlotte Elkins.

Services at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday November 9, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Worley officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 until the time of the service.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Bowers Hospice House for the excellent care they gave Ruby in her last days.
