Richard Harvey Lilly

Richard Harvey Lilly of Beaver joined his loving wife, Sunday, July 6, 2014. Born December 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Joseph and Daisy Allen Lilly. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and gardening. He was a graduate of WVU and was employed for 27 years with the Department of Agriculture. In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Hatcher Lilly; brother, Tommy E. Lilly; step-father, Ray Young; brother-in-law, Jim Lowry. Those left to cherish his memory include, sons, Alex Lilly and wife Kim, Joseph Lilly; daughter, Nicole Tomlin and husband, David; grandchildren, Garret Tomlin, Megan Painter; great-grandchildren, Trinity Tomlin, Avagail Painter; grandchildren, Zach Bowden, Ashley Bowden, Bobbi Jo Bowden; sisters, Alma Jo Lowry, Doris Ann Meador and husband, Jim; also many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Friends may gather with the family Saturday from 2 – 3 PM at the funeral home.
