Michael George Cella, age 68, of Sophia, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Born on May 26, 1951 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Donald George Cella and Wanda Lee Asbury.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Cella; paternal grandparents, Joe and Lucy Cella; and maternal grandparents, George Washington and Mary Lena Asbury.
Michael is survived by his brother, Donald Joe Cella and his wife, Rene; nieces, Wendy Smith and Kim Davis; nephew, Gary Ray Cella; aunts, Alice Johns and Frances Harbert; and many cousins and extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral home with Pastor Don Kelly officiating. Burial will be held in the McKinney Cemetery (McKinney Mountain Rd.) in Sophia.
Honoring Michael as pallbearers are Falous Asbury, Dennis Asbury, Gary Kennedy, Louie Prunesti, Roger Young and Clayton Terry.
