Mary Martha Keaton

Mary Martha Keaton of Hotchkiss, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016. She is the daughter of the late Clarence Acord and Etter Acord. Born June 27, 1933 in Hotchkiss, West Virginia. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Hotchkiss Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and granny. She brought a smile to everyone’s face to everyone who was around her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, John Glen Keaton; great-grandson, Justus Hengst; brothers, Claude, Willie, Charles, Manuel, and Elson Acord; sisters, Ramonia Keaton, Ester Acord and Margaret Richards. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 67 years, Walter W. Keaton; children, Terry Keaton and wife Bessie, Basil Keaton and wife Charlotte, Charlie Keaton and wife Sharon, Nelda Childs, Sharon Meadows and husband Ronnie, Eddie Keaton and wife Sharon, and Kimberly Keaton; grandchildren, Elise Keaton, Laura Lee Keaton, Karma Hengst and husband Hank, Rachel Himelrigh and husband Jeff, Jenny McGhee and husband Andy, John Keaton and wife Melissa, Wesley Childs and wife Sarah, Andrew Childs, Jessica Neubert and husband Frankie, Jodi Richmond and husband Jess; 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ivan Acord and wife Thelma, David Acord, Fredrick Acord and wife Michelle, and Melvin Acord and wife Betty; sisters, Anna Rae Gluszko and husband Roman, and Janet Hylton. Services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastors Tom Anderson and Tim Chapman officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 12-1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with grandsons to serve as pallbearers. Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, has the honor of serving the Keaton family.
