short illness. Born February 23, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Sarah Reva Cooper Burdette.
Lottie was preceded in death by the love of her life whom she missed dearly, Billy Joe Adkins. The couple
was married for 51 years and spent their entire lives living in and around Piney View, West Virginia. Lottie was also preceded in death by her son, Philip Adkins, four brothers, Charles Cooper, Larry Burdette, Glen
Ray Burdette, Melvin Basham, and a sister, Susan Lilly.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Richard Burdette and his wife Barbara of Titusville, Florida, and Billy Joe Adkins, Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Scarbro, West Virginia, and a daughter, Sarah Adkins, of King,
North Carolina. Mamaw Lottie will also be remembered by her four grandchildren, Bret (John) Tasha, Aaron, and Trey (Tiffanie), and five great-grandchildren, Marley, Julien, Rhiannon, Silas, and Grayson.
The funeral service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Earl Brewer officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.
