Larry Ray Smith

Born on November 5th, 1980, he was the son of Phyllis Ann (Farmer) Shrewsbury and Gregory Shrewsbury.

Larry was a graduate of Independence High School and was a supervisor and equipment operator at RDR Solutions.

In his free time, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, side-by-side riding, going on adventures with his family, spending time with his animals, and working on his farm.

Larry was of the Baptist faith and a member of Vision Church.

Larry was preceded in death by grandparents, Clarence Edward Farmer and Marie Farmer, Carl W. Smith and Juanita M. Smith, and Gerald Shrewsbury and Mary Shrewsbury; a nephew, Landon Smith; a friend, Bryan Wood; and his best friend, his beloved pet dog, Remmie.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Greg and Phyllis Shrewsbury of Garwood, WV; his father, Roger Smith (Telietha); his children, Chase Hambric of Beckley, Abbie Dawson and Izabella Farmer of Coal City, WV; a sister, Rhonda Wellman (JC) of Beckley, WV; brothers, Roger Smith and Brandon Smith of Beckley, WV; a very special friend, Susan Duncan of Coal City, WV; Raymond Duncan II of Danville, WV; uncles, Ronnie Duncan (Rita) of Coal City, WV, and Randy Duncan I of Midway, WV; Raymond Duncan I of Midway, WV, and Ronnie Smith; aunts, Connie Smith and Charlene Smith; a niece, Alexis Smith of Garwood, WV; nephews, Rylan Wellman and River Wellman, both of Beckley, WV, Isaiah Duncan (Miranda) of Crab Orchard, WV, Nathaniel Duncan of Crab Orchard, WV, and Lucas Duncan of Crab Orchard, WV.

Funeral Services for Larry will be on Friday, August 2nd, 2024 at 1PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:30 Am until the time of service. Larry will be laid to rest at Canaday Cemetery, Crab Orchard following the funeral.

Isaiah Duncan, Roger Smith, Brandon Reed, Adam Allison, Ryan Friend, Jared Green, Brian Lilly and William Irick will serve as pallbearers.
