James Robert Duncan

James Robert Duncan was born on December 16, 1982 in Beckley, WV to his parents Jerry and Julie (Meyers) Duncan. He went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2017 in Charleston, WV at the young age of 34. James was a soft hearted gentleman who would help anyone in need and loved to live life. He was a jokester who loved to pick at people to bring about a laugh and smile. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers, and swimming at the swimming hole at Pemberton. James had one of the biggest hearts and always would let you know by saying, "I Love You!" James is survived by his mother Julie; sister, Kelly Ann Duncan; brother, Jerry Neil Duncan; nephew, Hunter Duncan; niece, Celie Duncan; nephew, Shawn Milam; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. James is preceded in death by his father Jerry Ray Duncan; maternal grandmother, Jessie DeChane; paternal grandparents, Fred and Naomi Duncan; and his aunt, Ernestine (Harvey) Duncan. A Celebration of James' Life will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 beginning at1:00 PM at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church (Crab Orchard, WV, 304-252-8038) with Pastor Davey Duncan, Jr. officiating.
