Jacob S Adkins

A gathering will be held with Friends and Family on Thursday April 6, 2023 beginning at 4PM to 7 PM. His services will be held the following day, April 7, at 12 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, with Rev. John Wesley Richmond officiating. The family will begin receiving visitors at 11AM. A burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Earles Arnold, William Russell, Donald, Ronald, Oathel Milburn, Kenneth, Lenard; sister Redith and granddaughter Megan Trexler.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Taylor Adkins of Abraham; his children: Steven Brian Adkins and Dina Alley of Abraham, WV and Angela Adkins Payne and husband Christopher of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren: Jacob Trexler of Lewisburg, PA, Andrew Haynes and wife Jessica of Canvas, WV, Amber Haynes Kalb and husband Joel of Easley, SC and his sisters Alma Minnie Redden of Lookout, WV, Lorena Martin of Shady Spring, WV.

He was an outdoorsman and loved to spend hours fishing and hunting. He was an avid farmer, tinkerer, DIYer, and loyal friend and neighbor.
