Ireland Glenn Kennedy

Born in Wyco, WV Ireland was the son to the late Paul and Helen Kennedy.

Ireland was a former Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, where he served from 1971-1973. Ireland enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking spaghetti, cooking frog legs, riding horses, and he loved his dog Cody so much. Ireland was also known as Glenn and the "Legend."

In addition to his parents, Ireland is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 10 years, Diane Kennedy; step daughter, Jessica; brother, Michael Kennedy.

Those left to cherish Ireland's memory include his his son, Glenn (Gina) Kennedy of Pilot Mountain, NC; sisters, Carlene Cupp of Christiansburg, VA, Kathy (Clayton) Lamb of Rocky Mountain,VA, Amanda (Bobby) Turner of Deep Run, NC; grandson, Glenn Kennedy II of Pilot Mountain, NC; granddaughter, Kristin Kennedy of Pilot Mountain, NC; step-grandson Tyler (Haley) Vaughn of King, NC; step-granddaughters Alisha Burden of Pilot Mountain, NC, Chelsea (Dakota) Burden of Pilot Mountain, NC, Amber (Cory) Burcham of Pilot Mountain, NC, Jessica Lopez of Mount Airy, NC; friend, Eddie (Shirley) Bolen, 11 Great-grandkids that he loved so much.

A service to celebrate the life of Ireland Glenn Kennedy will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday May 4, 2022 at 11AM with Pastor David Ingram officiating.

Visitation for Ireland is being held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday May 4, 2022 at 10AM-11AM.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
