Dustin William Nelson

Born September 7, 1983, son of the late David Nelson, preceded Nov. 17, 2017, and Vicki Gills Nelson of Coal City.

Dustin was 2003 graduate of Independence High School. Dustin ran and loved cross country track holding different records.

Dustin had a passion for working on cars and riding motorcycles. Dustin had just graduated from Welding School.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Elsie Margaret Thompson Nelson, his maternal grandparents Frazier and Ramona Gills.

Besides his mother, other survivors include two sisters, Arista and husband, Wesley Ayers of Coal City and Tina Nelson Reed and fiancé, Joey Howerton of Oak Hill; nieces, Caitlin and Gracie Wise, Harleigh Reed, Samantha Green, and Nikki Wise.

Services will be 5:00 pm on Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Pastors Tim Mitchem and Mike Rose officiating.

Friends may gather with the family from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Dustin’s memory to Brains Safehouse, P.O. Box 1122, Beckley, WV 25802
