Drema Ellison

Born on November 11th, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Edna Hodges.

Drema was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family wad the light of her life and she was always quick to let you know how much her family meant to her. She always enjoyed making big meals for her family and took pride in every dish she made.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Regina Akers; father-in-law, “Jimmy” Ellison; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Dedman; brother-in-law, “Junior” Ellison; her grandparents and many aunts and uncles and extended family members, all of which she loved dearly.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Rick Ellison of Coal City, WV; her loving daughter Angela Ellison of Coal City, WV; cherished grandson, Jason Ellison of Coal City, WV; brothers Rick Hodges and wife Darlene of Beckley, WV, and Dewayne Hodges and wife Angela of North Carolina; sister-in-law Drema Ellison of Ohio; brother in law Timmy Ellison of Florida and many nieces and nephews, as well as many other cherished family members.

Services will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024 at 1PM with her uncle, Bishop Harold Hylton officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 12PM until the time of the service. Drema will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
