Douglas was a 30 + year member of the Church of Nazarene in Beckley, WV. He was a 1970 graduate of Stoco High School and worked at Lonnie and Havenor Construction Company in Arlington, VA and Sterling Smokeless Coal Company in Whitby, WV where he became EMS for the mines. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, beekeeping, gardening, and most of all spending time with his wife, dogs and cat.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by an infant brother, Donal David Farley.
Those left to cherish his memory include the love of his life and wife of 45 years, Linda Gale Farley; brother, Damon and wife Rita; sisters, Athlene Long and husband Marvin, Irma Farley, Barbara Hilton, Linda “Sue” Keffer, Lois Defibaugh and husband Gene; and a host of nieces, nephews, and longtime friends, Kenny Worley and Tommy Lewis.

Funeral service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Smith Officiating.
