David Berman Mills, 72, of Sophia, passed away on Monday March 27, 2017. Born October 5, 1944, he was the son of the late Clayton and Mozetta Richardson Mills. David attended the Sophia 1st Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and trading. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mills; brothers, Jack K. Mills, James Ray Mills; sister, Margaret Ann McPherson. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, David Mills; brother, Jimmy Mills; grandchildren, Barry Hodges, Dana Mills, Phillip Hodges; great-grandchildren, Colin Hodges, Mia Hodges; also several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Beckley. Burial will follow at Mills Cemetery, Soakcreek WV. Friends may gather with the family Friday from 6 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
