Mr. Carl E Daniel

In addition to his parents he is preceded by his step father Walter E. Tolley, six sisters; Betty Leach, Reva Webb, Lois Hutchinson, Lola Gunnoe, Geraldine Manning, Oretha Tyree, eight brothers; James Daniel, Elwood Daniel, Norman Daniel, John Tolley, Eustace Tolley, Darryl Tolley, Tommy Tolley, Walter Tolley Jr, and two grandsons; Matthew Daniel and Tyler Challingsworth.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Carol Sue Utt Daniel, children; Terri and husband Tony Allen, Betsy and husband David Challingsworth, Rob Daniel and wife Crissy, five grandchildren; Chris Allen and wife Karen, Josh Allen and wife Dionne, Curtis Daniel, Stacie Daniel, Zach Challingsworth and fiancée Lindsay Smith, Zachary Edwards, and Jacob Edwards and wife Dana, and five great grandchildren; Skyler, Jacob, Caleb, Amea, and Emily Allen.

He was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and loved the country he served. He would do anything for anybody and those who had the pleasure of meeting him will miss him dearly.

His services will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday January 18, 2023 at 1 PM with Pastor Terry Hatcher officiating. The family will begin receiving visitors at 11 AM. He will be laid to rest following the services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
