He was preceded in death by his parents Avery and Edrie Farley, his siblings Oral, Ted, Darrell, Kent, Frank Farley, Edna Denis, Lotus Lewis, Delpha Martin, and Earlene Hunt.
Bill retired as a Foreman for Patriot Coal Co after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hobbies such as piddling around his workshop, fishing, hunting but most of all spending time with his wife, daughter family and friends.
He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife Margaret Farley of 50 years, one daughter Kimberly Farley of Indian Land, SC, a brother Jack Farley of Grants, NM and one sister Leta McComas of Midway, WV, his furbaby Ginger who stayed by his side throughout his illness and gave him love and comfort, one grand-dog that he adored Scarlett, and a host of loving friends and family that will miss him dearly.
A special Tribute to his brother Frank who traveled from Georgia several times to be by Bills side before he suddenly passed away in Nov. 2017 three days before his planned return trip, and beloved friend Ben Lewis who was his friend for 68 years (with never a disagreement) before his sudden death in June of 2018. Also a very special ‘Thank You’ to his hospice nurse Serena Riffe, and his personal care nurse who was more like family Raina McGinty.
Funeral Service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home-Beckley, WV on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 1:00PM. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00-1:00PM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
