Barbara Ann Maddy Griffith Barbara Ann Maddy Griffith, 71 of Beckley, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at home following a long illness. Born June 12, 1943 in Blue Jay, WV; she was the daughter of the late Clacy L. Maddy and Edith Richmond Maddy. Barbara was of the Holiness Faith, and was a lifelong member of the Abraham Holiness Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband William “Clifford” Griffith Sr., a sister Leatrice “Toy” O’dell and a brother Burchell Maddy Sr. Survivors left to cherish her memory include her three sons; William “Billy” Griffith Jr. and his wife Lori, Clacy “Ray” Griffith and his wife Robin and Dwayne Griffith all of Beckley, her three granddaughters; Patty, Teresa and Brittney Griffith all of Beckley, her sister in law Anna Lee Griffith and a brother in law Noah “Junior” Griffith whom shared their home with Barbara, three sisters Pauline Kincaid of Beaver, WV, Louise Maddy of Shady Spring, WV, and Ruthie Adkins of Gastonia N.C., and a brother James Maddy of Cool Ridge, WV, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Bowers Hospice House and her caregivers; Lori, Patty and Tess Griffith for the wonderful care they gave Barbara. Services will be held 1:00PM Friday, April 10, 2015 at Abraham Holiness Church, Abraham, WV with Reverend Clarence Toney officiating. Following the service Barbara will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may gather with the family 6:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, WV.
