Mary Jane was born on December 28, 1936 in Washington D.C., the daughter of Fred and Sylvia Moore. She met Charles R. Joyce in Washington D.C. and they were married on August 15, 1955. They had three daughters. After several moves they settled in Beaverton, Oregon.
Mary Jane will be remembered for her love of the arts, her pet cats and train travel. She worked as a reference librarian at the Cedar Mill Community Library and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Mary Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Charles and daughter, Suzanne. She is survived by daughters, Janice Joyce (Robert Monniere), and Cheryl Reichenbach (Glenn); and grandsons, David and Carl Reichenbach (Kimberly Walker).
There will be a celebration of Mary Jane's life on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1280 NW Saltzman Rd., Portland, OR 97229. Following the funeral mass, there will be a committal service at 12:30 PM at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 333 SW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR 97221.
