William H Newton Jr.

William Harrison Newton, Jr., 81, of Port Neches, TX passed away on February 10, 2021 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Mr. Newton was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He lived in Groves, Texas for 23 years before living in many cities throughout the United States working for companies such as Hercules Powder Company, Bell Telephone Laboratories, Ling-Temco-Vought (LTV), and Gulf Oil. Mr. Newton was an accomplished electrical engineer, Professional Engineer, and Life Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers). Mr. Newton graduated from Port Neches Groves High School and Lamar University. Mr. Newton has lived the past 44 years in Port Neches, Texas.

Survivors include his sister Barbara Newton Pearson and her husband Don of Gig Harbor, Washington, nephew Erik Newton Pearson and his wife Halena also of Gig Harbor. Mr. Newton is preceded in death by his parents, William Harrison Newton and Barbara Helen Newton, and his brother Douglas Wayne Newton.

A a celebration of William's life will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77703, followed by his burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on the Garden of Rest.
