Roberta “Bobbie” Cole, 85, a lifelong resident of Beaumont and former twenty-year resident of Town Bluff, passed away on Thursday January 14, 2016 in Beaumont. Bobbie was born on November 1, 1930 in Shreveport, Louisiana to her parents Robert and Fredia Clemens Adams, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Roy H. Cole, Jr. and brother; Robert Elton Adams. Bobbie is survived by sons; Robert Cole and wife Donna of Lumberton, Mark Cole and wife Joy of Beaumont, daughter; Elva Hinson and husband Danny of Beaumont, five grandchildren; Jason Cole and wife Brandy, Alecia Cole, April Leger and husband Paul, Denise Johnson and husband Brian, Alyson Basehore and husband Mike, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Cole was a Baptist and attended North End Baptist Church in Beaumont.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cooking, quilting, canning, and a faithful reader of her Holy Bible.
Visitation will be held on Sunday January 17, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the loving and caring service given to Mrs. Cole by Summer Place Nursing and Rehab.
