Laula Faye George

Laula Faye George, age 90, of Oakwood Manor in Vidor, Texas passed away on Tuesday December 10, 2019. Laula was born September 6, 1929 in Livingston, Texas to the late Deedie Augusta Pitman and James Pitman.

Laula was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved sewing, quilting, gardening and cooking.

Laula is survived by sons, Mark Root and his wife Leigh of Vidor, Michael Root Sr. and his wife Margaret of Silsbee; brother, J.D. Pitman and his wife Willie of Vidor; grandchildren, Michael Root Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Matthew Root, Josh Root and his wife Amy, Tyler Root; great grandchildren, Christian Root, Bailey Root, Landon Root, Cambrie Root, Allison Root, Athena Root, Ally Root, James Root; great-great grandchildren, Cade Root, Caine Root.

Laula was preceded in death by her husbands Ronald George, Louie Root; grandson Kristopher Root.

A gathering of family and friends for Laula will be held Friday, December 13, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebraton of Laula's life will occur Friday, December 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine, Beaumont, Texas 77703. Burial will follow at Menard Chapel Cemetery in Segno.

Serving as pallbearers are Mark Root, Michael Root Sr., Michael Root Jr., Matthew Root, Landon Root and Tyler Root.
