Harold Charles Nelson

Harold Charles Nelson, 90, of Beaumont, died Friday, February 9, 2024 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A native of Crowley, LA., he has lived in Beaumont for 78 years and was a retired Financial Analyst and Sr Staff Accountant with Mobil Oil for 37 years. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Harold was a member of Our Mother Mercy Catholic Church in Beaumont. Harold enjoyed playing golf, tennis and played football in college, and was president of The Tri-City Golf Association, and was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha PSI.

A Celebration of Harold's Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the funeral home.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Whitney R. and Muriel Nelson, Sr., brother Whitney R. Nelson, Jr., and Gwendolyn Nelson McDaniel.

Harold is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Nelson of Beaumont, sons Ronald A. Nelson of Houston, Reginald C. Nelson of Kirbyville, daughter Linda Brown and her husband Anthony of Beaumont, sister Bernadette Nelson of Beaumont, and his bonus sons and daughters Herman, Marcus, James, Christina, Porchier, and Hermeka, four grandchildren, numerous great & great-great grandchildren, and 2 bonus grandchildren.

Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
