Evelyn Louise McCraw

Evelyn L. McCraw, age 84, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Pearland, TX. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCraw was born on August 1, 1929 in Luling, TX. She was a retired chief phone operator from AT&T and a longtime resident of Beaumont. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, painting, fishing and gardening with her husband, Robert of 48 years, but her life was about the love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. McCraw, a baby Joseph Ryan McCraw, parents, Noah Jack Burns Sr. and Margaret Mary Ethel Gorman Burns. One brother, Jack Burns and two sisters, Margaret “Polly” Williams and Jean Peddy.

Survivors include her two daughters, Darinda McCraw Dikeman and her husband George of Needville, TX and Pam McCraw and her husband Al Strahan of El Lago, TX. Four grandsons, John Dikeman, Patrick Dikeman, Matthew Dikeman and Walker Strahan. Two granddaughters, Mykala Strahan and Anna Dikeman.
