Born on May 24, 1934 in Columbia County, Arkansas to Oliver and Vernice Sewell Wynne. He was a native of Shongaloo, LA, but made his home with his wife in Southeast Texas in the 1950’s.
In his younger years he was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt and fish. He formerly owned a successful commercial concrete business, B.T. Wynne Foundation, later known as Racehorse Foundation, in Southeast Texas for over 55 years. He spent his free time farming and working cows at his farm, Sawmill Town, in Newton, Texas.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ione Wynne, of Lumberton, his son Billy Carlton Wynne of Hemphill, TX, his son Thomas Wayne Wynne and wife Sharon of Faiwell, TX, his daughter Freda Lynn Neely and husband Paul of Kirbyville, TX, his grandson Cody Wynne and wife Amber of Hemphill, TX, his granddaughter Tiffany Wright and husband Duff of The Woodlands, TX, his granddaughter Ashley Miller and husband Whitney of Shreveport, LA. Five great grandchildren, Ryan Wynne, Alexia Wynne, Amber Loren Wynne, Riley Wynne and Luke Wright. His brother, Sidney Wynne and wife Virginia of Nixon, TX, his sister Mildred Hall and husband Roper of Angleton, TX and host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Vernice Wynne, his twin sons Derrell Ray and Sherrell Ray Wynne, and his sister Toy Lou Moore.
