Jean Constance Carter

Jean Constance Carter, 87 of Cherry Valley CA passed away on January 24th 2019. Jean was born on Sept. 25th 1931 in Winnipeg Canada to Cecil & Pearl Hammond. She is preceded in death by her husband Sterling and is survived by her three children Tricia Bayne, married to Steve who reside in Cherry Valley, Rusty Carter who resides in Little Rock Arkansas and Glen Carter married to Debbie who reside in Pasco Washington. Jean has one surviving sister Coral O’leary married to Jim who reside in Dewey AZ. Jean is further survived by nine grandchildren, Leslie Craghead, Lori, Gamez, Matt Carter, Eliza Klett, Stevie Carter, Jennifer Adams, Jarrod Carter, Kyle Brightman and Nick Carter as well as eight great grandchildren.

Jean was a teacher for the Beaumont Unified School District where she taught for 25 years and was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association. She was an avid reader who loved spending time with her family and traveling. Jean was a devoted member of the Center for Spiritual Living in Beaumont and a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society.

As we all face the loss with great sadness let us embrace the memory of such a loving and wonderful person who inspired and challenged so many of us.

Services for Jean will be held at Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont on February 9th at 2:00 PM. Gathering for family and friends will be held directly after at the Cherry Valley Grange.
