Donald L. Bohanan (Don) 85, passed away April 24, 2014 at Cherry Valley Health Care, Banning, California. He was born July 19, 1928, in Russell, Kentucky to Jesse Day and Gladys M. Bohanan. Don had one brother Jesse Bohanan who preceded him in death.
Don attended Sandusky High School, graduating class of 1947. He was Past President of Sandusky Jaycees, Director of the Miss Ohio Pageant and a long time Agent for Prudential Insurance Company. Besides being a resident of Sandusky, Ohio, Don resided in Daytona Beach, Florida until he moved to Beaumont, California.
Don loved sports especially golfing and fishing. In High School, Don was a four sport athlete. Don was active in the Barbershop Chorale and the Sun Lakes Chorale. He was also active in the Shrine and the Masons.
Don is survived by three sons, David Bohanan, Thomas Bohanan and Donald Andrew Bohanan; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Donna Williams.
Memorial service Monday, May 5, 2014, at 11:00am, at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California. A reception will follow at the mortuary.
Don was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
