Betty May Marrone, 90, of Cherry Valley, CA, passed away on January 12, 2024. She was born on May 15, 1933, in Missoula, Montana. Betty was an outgoing individual who loved traveling in the motorhome with her beloved husband Tony and their cat Prince. She also cherished spending time with her daughters and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty had a successful career as an inhalation therapist at St.
Bernardine Hospital for 10-15 years when it was first introduced in the 1950s. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motorhome and assisting her daughter Betty in her antique shop for many years.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Betty Avakian, Debbie Avakian, Diane Jones, and Denise Davis. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Daria Shea, Amy Smith, Jennifer Avakian, Melanie Avakian, James Avakian, Sarah Avakian, Alex Avakian, Anthony Avakian, Jason Davis, Katie Simpson, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Marrone, and her grandson, Michael Jones, son-in-law, Joseph Avakian.
A funeral service will be held on January 30, 2024, at 11:30
A.M. at Weaver Mortuary, located at 1177 Beaumont Ave,
Beaumont, CA. Following the service, a graveside service will take place at Desert Lawn Cemetery, located at 11251 Desert Lawn Drive, Calimesa, CA. A reception will be held at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon, located at 36211 Champions Drive, Beaumont, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Betty's memory.
