William Nelson, 83, of Crosby, TX, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014. William was born on February 7, 1931. He was a native of Houston, TX, and worked for ILA #1351 for 30 years as a steamship clerk and checkers. He was a member of the Men’s Golf Association at Newport Country Club in Crosby, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Dorothy Clegg, and Johnny R. Nelson; and brother, Jack Edward Nelson.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margie Nelson; sons, Tracy Merle Nelson and William Earl Nelson, Jr.; and brother, R.J. Nelson, Jr.

Visitation will be held at Earthman Funeral Home, Baytown Texas on Thursday, June 26th, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00pm.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27th, 2014 at 2:00pm at Earthman Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
