Bill was a 1968 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas. He worked for AT&T and retired in 2008 after 40 years of service. He liked to hunt, fish, play golf and travel to Colorado. He enjoyed attending many soccer games played by both of his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Bill is survived by his wife Karen Clark Lewis of 53 years. He is also survived by his son, William L (Woody) Lewis, Jr and wife Kristin, grandchildren Alyssa and Zachary Lewis, brothers, Gordon Lewis and wife Donna and Marion Lewis and wife Harriett, sister-in-law Jeannine Mills. Also, Aunts Polly Lowery Simmons and Bernita Lowery, niece, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Debbie, Carlos, and Wendy with Tradition’s Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, February 26, 2021, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Speaks Cemetery in Speaks, Texas (Cemetery is beside the Speaks Community Center address is 21573 FM 530, Hallettsville, Texas 77964.
