William Daniel ""Bill Dobbins

William Daniel ""Bill"" Dobbins, 79, a strong Christian and loving husband, dad and paw paw, was born July 18, 1928 in Ranger and went to be with his Lord Friday, July 4, 2008. He was a Highlands resident for over 50 years and was a graduate of Cisco High School and attended Cisco Junior College. He retired from the Upjohn/Dow Chemical Company with over 30 years of service, was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, I. J. and Lena Dobbins and sister, Mollie Dobbins and is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beulah Dobbins of Highlands; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Neva Dobbins of Marlin; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Layne Ramsey of Baytown; sister, Louise Warren of San Antonio, Wanda Johnson of Jacksboro and Dorothy Williams of Abilene; and grandchildren, Randy and Cortney Dobbins of Kountze, Rachel and Randy Cooper of Baytown, Misti and Jeremy Sanders of Moody and Russell Ramsey of Baytown.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons and Kenny Miller and Norman Stuts.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, July 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Barber officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
