Virgie Mitchell

Virgie Elizabeth Mitchell, 92, of Baytown, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in Tomball. She was born August 1, 1923 in Goose Creek to her late parents Clemons Wright and Rosie Proctor Wright, was a lifelong resident of the Baytown area and a member of the Mont Belvieu United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harry Mitchell. Survivors include her daughter, Rita Herrod and her husband Ray of Magnolia, a son, Ronald Mitchell and his wife Loretta of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren, Lanny Herrod and his wife Cheryl of League City, Mitchell Herrod and his wife Wendy of Spring, Kevin Herrod and his wife Kellie of Houston and Tracey LeRoy and her husband Fabien of Charlotte, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Afton Macaioni and her husband Evan, Katelyn Kelley and her husband Justin, Connor Herrod, Ariel Strickland, Kirsten Herrod, Tristan LeRoy and Kalen LeRoy and great-great-grandchildren, Kason Kelley and Scout Macaioni.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
