Sam was a resident of Baytown for over forty years. He graduated from New Castle High School in 1948 and then served and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church and a painter for most of his working career. Sam enjoyed woodworking, Italian cooking, dancing and he was an avid sports fan. He loved his Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Houston Rockets and rarely missed watching them with his favorite pet dog Baby. Nothing was as important to Sam as his family, whom he loved above all else. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him and his memory will be cherished by those whom he touched, especially the laughter and joy that he effortlessly brought to so many so often.
