Robert Lee McGowan, 47, of Baytown, completed his earthly journey and went to be with the Lord, on July 3rd, 2022. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa on May 19, 1975 to Consuelo (Connie) Magaña & Patrick McGowan.
For over 20 years Robert had a career in the welding industry. Robert was a family man. He knew what was important in life. An ideal day for him would include getting together with the family for good laughs, food, and relaxation. His kids were his pride and joy and he made it known, often. For fun Robert loved to fish on his boat, play guitar with his friends, and go to heavy metal concerts with his best friends and children.
He is preceded in death by his younger brother Michael McGowan, maternal grandparents Maria & Guadalupe Rodriguez, paternal grandfather Jack McGowan. His father Patrick McGowan passed away one day prior on July 2, 2022.
Robert’s memory will live on in the hearts of his children, Marissa (Chris) Cunningham, Kaila McGowan, & Robert McGowan Jr.; parents Consuelo & Jose Magaña, sister Raechel (Dusty) Boecker; paternal grandmother Jean Peters; nieces Sarah (Christian) Deleon, Shannon (Zac) Gathman, grandnephews Ryan, Dylan, Ian, & Aiden; grandniece Peyton; and many aunts, uncles cousins, and friends.
A visitation for Robert will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521. A committal service will occur Monday, July 11, 2022 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to American Lung Association, and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
