He worked as a Process Technician at Exxon Chemicals in Baytown from 1975 until 1994.
Bob graduated from Deer Park High School in 1960 where he was a track star. He was in the United States Navy from July 1960 to July 1966 stationed in Hawaii for most of his service. His passions included bowling, playing poker, watching all sports with his boys, as well as watching Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry cartoons. He also enjoyed watching Charlie Chan, The Bowery Boys, Keeping Up Appearances, and “Are You Being Served?”
Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Catherine (Lee) Hollis; brother, Carl Hollis; and a great nephew Richard Carl Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 46 ½ years, Dorris Hollis; his three sons, Robert Jr., Matthew, and Chance; Daughter and Son-in-law, Kristi and Karl Wiggins; His grandchildren, Bobby Hollis, Brittani Tavary, Andy Tavary, Patrick McConahay, Kristina Romo, and Laura Hernandez; His great grandchildren, Natalie Romo, Patricia Ford, and Dakota Hoover; His niece, Erica Serbe; and great niece, Ashley Serbe; and his two great-great nieces, Linda Kay Barak and Lila Jane Johnson-McCormik.

The family will receive friend at the Visitation, beginning at 9:00 am, on Friday, August 9, 2019 at St John Catholic Church, 800 W Baker Rd, Baytown, Texas, 77521. A Memorial Service is to follow at 10:00 am.
