Maria De la Luz Lucatero

Maria De la Luz Lucatero, age 57, a loving mother of two, and adoring grandmother of three, was born on July 28th, 1967, in Ricardo Flores Magon, Tamaulipas. She departed to be in the hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and entered the gates of Heaven at 3:00pm during the Hour of Great Mercy on the 11th of November 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Living in Baytown, Texas for the majority of her life, she built a beautiful legacy surrounded by her loving sister Nora Vasquez whom she adored as her own daughter, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Mari was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church which along with her family influenced her to be a loving and caring woman of God. She dedicated her time and love to others and enjoyed going on missionary trips to spread the word of God.

Her strong faith did and will always leave an impression and impact on the people she encountered. She leaves behind her beloved son Cristobal Lucatero and daughter Daisy Lucatero and grandchildren Anaiyah Lucatero, Jeremiah Vasquez and Mariah Vasquez.

Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm, Friday, November 15, 2024, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521, with the rosary service to begin at 6 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 8:00 am on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech St, Baytown, TX 77520. Committal will follow at 10:00 am, at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521.
