March 30, 1968 – October 26, 2022
Beloved wife, mother and daughter, sister, Loretta was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Born in Rembert, SC, she was the daughter of the late J.D. Moore, SR. and Margie Ann Hart. Wife of Patrick Jimmy Young and mother of Patrick John Young.
Loretta and her high school sweetheart, Patrick, moved to Baytown, Texas in 1985 to begin their careers. In 1991 they opened their hearts to a new chapter with the birth of their son, Patrick John Young. Loretta was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and daughter. She was charismatic, unforgettable lady with an infectious smile and contagious energy. She loved life and lived everyday like an adventure, never met a stranger, and was happiest when surrounded by her family and her friends.
Loretta worked many different jobs in her life, but her natural ability to lead advanced her to management positions. These gains and experiences in her life guided her to her current job at Axion. She took interest in the landscaping of her yard. From the first time they stepped onto their new property; where they cleared and built their home, she grew it with loving care. With many hours and years of work to take a blank piece of land and turn it into a lifelong dream of a family home and a retirement future. She worked her flower beds and then her pool side area. This is where she found her back yard oasis. It is full of different plumeria plants, palm trees, a sitting area under a palapa where she loved to entertain and spend time with family and friends. The only thing she enjoyed more than this, was floating the Frio River with her best friend/husband Patrick and friends.
Those who knew her loved her, those who loved her knew they were loved. Her life was cut short way too soon; and she will be dearly missed by all, but we know that God has given her an eternal gift in Heaven and one day we will see her again.
Surviving are her Mother, Margie Ann Hart; Husband of 38 years, Patrick Jimmy Young; Son, Patrick John Young (Sabrina); Sisters, Catherine Crain (Robert), Nellie Hodge (Ron); Brother, James Earl Moore; Nephew, Rosco Wright; Niece, Kristina Sprague (Toby) and Great Niece, Kyleigh Sprague. Loretta is also survived by many South Carolina relatives, cousins, Aunts/Uncles, and so many Texas and South Carolina friends.
Proceeded in death by Father, J.D. Moore Sr.; Brothers, John David Moore Jr. and Percy Steve Moore.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-8 pm, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521.
