Lesley Ann Holt, age 82, of Baytown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 30, 2024. She was born May 11, 1942, in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. The family immigrated to America in 1948. Lesley grew up in Deer Park and graduated Deer Park High School in 1959. She attended Sam Houston State University prior to marrying her life partner Donald Lee Holt on June 9, 1962.
After raising her family, Lesley worked for many years in the East Houston Hospital Lab as a medical transcriptionist. She enjoyed arts and crafts and made some beautiful macrame items. She loved cooking for the holidays and any opportunity to visit with family and friends. Lesley spent many summer days tubing the Frio River in Concan and dancing at the Garner State Park pavilion. She was an avid reader, liked puzzles, movies, plays (especially the Baytown Little Theater) and fancied all types of music.
Lesley had a heart of gold, was very smart, funny and loved to laugh. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kathleen and Arthur Morris, husband Donald Lee Holt, son Donald “Rusty” Holt, and sister Kathryn Kingsley.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John Richard and Kim Holt of Willis; daughter, Christine Holt of Baytown; grandchildren, Donya Holt of Marion, OH and Rachel Holt of San Marcus; and great grandchildren, Jayden, Rylan, Ruby, Devonte and Jawan; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
