Joseph John Morales, also known as “BJ” or Uncle Jodie, 79, of Baytown, entered this world the first born to Antonio and Catalina Morales on July 11, 1940, in Houston, Texas. Joe, our beloved brother and uncle, was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
Joseph joined the military and served in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany from 1963-1965.
Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing pool and cards. He enjoyed caring for all those that he met, whether it was providing transportation, babysitting for his nephews and nieces, or taking the trash out for the neighbors.
Joe is proceeded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law, Wallace Gonzales and Jesus Barrientes; and sister-in-law, Gloria Morales. He is survived by his sisters, Teresa Gonzales and Delores Barrientes, brothers, Anthony “Sookie” Morales, John Manuel Morales and wife Chun Hwa; nephews and nieces, Walter Gonzales, Steffani Gonzales, Wayne Gonzales, Tim Barrientes, Rodney Barrientes, Kathryn Alegria, Jesus Barrientes, II, Meredith Perez, Alison Medina, Melanie Delgado, Anthony Morales, Linda McGee, John D. Morales, 39 grand nephews and nieces, and 10 great-grand nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank the many friends and family for the abundant amount of support and prayers that were given to the family during this most difficult time this past week.
