Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Vaughn of Baytown, Texas passed away, Monday, October 19, 2020. At Methodist Hospital, Baytown, TX. She was born July 11, 1932 in Dallas, Texas and was a resident of Baytown for 35 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Cleo and Mary Elizabeth Andis, her husband of 51 years, Sammie Joe Vaughn, her Daughter-in-law, Christine Vaughn, her Great Granddaughter, Katelyn Shafer, her Sisters Mary Thulis and Margaret Corta.
She is survived by sons & daughters-in-law Mike & Debi Vaughn of League City, Texas; Pat & Fonda Vaughn of Spring, Texas; Dan Vaughn of Alpharetta, Georgia; daughter, Liz Norris of Spring, Texas; brother & sister-in-law, Jack & Janet Andis of Denver City, Texas. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be her sons Mike Vaughn, Pat Vaughn & Dan Vaughn & her Grandsons, Steven Vaughn, Christopher Norris and Andrew Vaughn.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited by Deacon George Silva at 6:00 P.M at Navarre Funeral Home. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1907 Carolina St., Baytown, Texas 77520, with Father Edmond Eduarte officiating.
Interment will follow in Sterling White Cemetery, Highlands, Texas.
Her family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the Eucharistic Ministers that faithfully visited her, Theresa White her special caregiver, and all of the caregivers at St. James House of Baytown. As well as Dr. Farouk Barbandi.
