James N. Chronister, 79, was born February 19, 1931 in Shamrock, TX and passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in Tyler. He is a lifetime resident of the Houston Area and attended Oats Prairie Elementary and Galena Park High School. He was well respected for his knowledge and skills in the Oil Field Industry and has traveled the world sharing his knowledge. He also obtained several patents for various Manufactured Designs used in the Oil Field Industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arbon Eugene and Lillie Mae Chronister; son, Tony Chronister; and a grandchild. He is survived by his daughters, Amarylis Chronister, Renee Gardner, Nola McGraw, and Trudy Parisher; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be will be Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with his daughter Amarylis officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roman Rodriguez, Robert Chronister, Chris Cloteaux, Sam Parisher, Milton Clark, and Gary Gardner.
Dad – go with God. You are truly loved and will be painfully missed.
