Gene Austin Littlejohn

Gene was born February 11, 1935 in Union, SC. He was a loyal and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. While, he had a long career in wholesale food sales, his true passion was music. An accomplished guitarist and vocalist, he loved performing live. His favorite opportunity to play and sing was at his home church of over 50 years, Northside Baptist Church of Highlands, Texas. He served as Music Minister there for 32 years before his retirement in 2021. Gene loved his family and his church family and spent his life building those relationships and investing in his loved ones.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Ruby Littlejohn, and his grandmother Lela Littlejohn.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda K Littlejohn. His two children: son, Marlon Wayne, wife Karen Marie Littlejohn; daughter, Crystal Lyn, husband Michael Shane Little. Several grandchildren: Jesse Wayne, Magdalene Love, and Stephen Ray Littlejohn; Seth Austin, Shane Daniel Cervenka, Cullen Price Little, Allison, husband Ivan Alvarez, and Great Granddaughter Cecelia Rose Alvarez. His brother & Sister-in-law Andy and Kay Littlejohn of Union South Carolina; his niece Andrea, Husband Kurt Hitzeman and Great Niece Lilly Kate Hitzeman; as well as his Aunt Opal Sanders of Union, South Carolina.
