Frank G. Martinez

Frank G. Martinez, 69, was born on December 18, 1948 in Three Rivers, Texas to Francisco “Pancho” and Vicenta Martinez. He passed away on January 22, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Frank moved to Baytown in 1975 were he was employed for 35 years with Brown & Root/Turner Industries and his trade was pipefitting. He was a dedicated and hard worker but was forced to leave in 2010 due to his illness. During his time off he loved spending time with his family, watching his all-time favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys, barbecuing, making bird houses or just spending his time outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather known as “Papo”, brother, uncle and a great friend. He was respected and adored by many and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Juan Gonzalez, Roy Martinez, George Martinez; and his sister, Marina Martinez. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Consuelo “Connie” Martinez; son, Frank Martinez III and Erica Gonzalez; daughters, Yvonne Gutierrez and husband Jaime, Selina Martinez and fiancé Long Dinh; grandchildren, Sabrina Diaz, Victoria Duran, Adrianna Duran, Marissa Lugo, Frank Martinez IV, expecting granddaughter Camilla; 2 great-granddaughters, Mialyne and Gracelyne; sister, Andrea Saenz and husband Jose; and brother Adolph Martinez. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many life-long friends including his 4 legged companion, Gizmo.

His family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 5-7 pm with a rosary at 7 pm. Mass services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church so we ask that family and friends meet at Navarre Funeral Home at 10:30 am for a procession leading to the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Martinez III, Jaime Gutierrez, Isidro Garcia, Rolando Valdez, Lee Martinez, Adolph Martinez, Raul Torres, Gilbert Rosas and Honorary pallbearer is Frank Martinez IV.
