Doris Dailey Sartor

Doris Dailey Sartor, 76, of Baytown, TX, loving wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2006 in a local hospital. She was born February 9, 1930 in Waco while her father was in barber school. She grew up near Teague, where she graduated high school in 1946. All of her adult life was spent in Baytown. She was a longtime member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church, and she was a member of the Hope Sunday School class. She loved her family, her church, and her friends. She always had a smile for everyone she met. She loved life.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Dr. Mark E. Broussard and Rev. Orval Barger officiating. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Saunders, Christopher Sartor, Chris Martin, Brian Barger, Tim Sartor, and Jack Saunders. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Sartor, Jim Barger, Pat Sartor, Trace Moreman, and Rusty Sartor.

She was preceded in death by parents, Howard and Lola Mae Dailey; sister, Patsy Lou Dailey Barger, and grandson, Cory A. Sartor and is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gilbert C. Sartor, sons Gilbert David Sartor and wife Susan and Daniel Kevin Sartor and fiancée Lilli, and daughter, Brenda Diane Sartor Saunders and husband Jack, all of Baytown; grandchildren, Lauri Saunders Martin and husband Chris of Anahuac, Christopher David Sartor and wife Melissa of College Station, Ryan Matthew Saunders and wife Nina of Santa Fe, NM, Brooke Elise Saunders of Baytown, Kaylee Deanne Sartor of Pearland, and Morgan and Trace Moreman, both of Baytown; and great grandchildren, Krysta Lauren Martin and Jason Cameron Martin of Anahuac. Also surviving are her late sister Patsy’s sons; nephews Jim Barger of Dallas and Brian Barger of Austin.
