Amy Babin Hudson

Amy Babin Hudson, 63, of Baytown, TX went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2023 in Pasadena, TX. She was born in Houston, TX on February 8, 1960 to Thomas and Maryon Babin. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, TX, where she was a swimmer and the 1st female diver. She then attended Lee College and also completed Cosmetology school. She had multiple careers including Hair Stylist, Prison Guard, and worked for Exxon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Marix Babin; and her soulmate, Dennis. She is survived by her mother, Maryon S. Babin; her brother, David Babin; and her daughters, Summer Albright and husband Mark Ferris, and Marix Hudson; her grandchildren, Jaiden Albright, Emma Faught, Jace Faught, Kaydence Ferris, and Kylar Ferris. She is also survived by numerous friends and family, and was considered “Everybody’s Mama.” She enjoyed swimming, diving, floating the Comal River, eating crawfish, and spending time with her friends and family.

She was a very fun and loving person who never met a stranger. She had the biggest heart and always saw the best in everyone. If she wasn’t spending time with family and friends she was floating the Comal River in New Braunfels, TX. A tradition she carried out for 62 years. Her compassion for helping and loving others truly shined through everyday of her life. She lived her life to the fullest everyday and she will be forever missed.

Funeral service will be held at 10 am, Monday, March 6, 2023, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521. Interment will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery, Baytown, TX.
