David Hedgepeth, age 82, passed away in Baton Rouge at 2:52 am on April 3, 2013. He was born March 17, 1931 in Choudrant, LA. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. David was a Navy veteran, interior designer, and retired from Kornmeyers Furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah S. and Fred Duggan and father, D.E. Hedgepeth; first wife, Barbara G. Hedgepeth; and great grandson, Chaise K. Richard. He is survived by his loving wife, Claudia Ann Watson Hedgepeth; daughters, Sarah E. Hedgepeth, Judith E. Watson, Janie W. Keller and husband Durwood, and Rebecca L. Watson; sons, David E. Hedgepeth and John C. Hedgepeth and wife Sherrill; grandchildren, William T. Hedgepeth and wife Malea, Lynette R. Martin, Gwin H. Boydstun and husband Matt, Andrew C. Keller, and Carrie A. Keller; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Sarah D. Brouillette and husband Tony; brother, J. Patrick Duggan and wife Marion. He was a member and Deacon of Jefferson Baptist Church, the Young at Heart, Senior Adult. Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Funeral Service will be 10am with visitation beginning at 9am on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Jefferson Baptist Church, 9135 Jefferson Hwy, officiated by Dr. T.C. French Jr. and Dr. David Goza. Interment will follow at 5pm in Saint Rest Cemetery in Ruston, LA. Pallbearers will be William T. Hedgepeth, Oscar Ming, Jim Wilson, Andrew C. Keller, Norman Linder and Joe Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be the Jefferson Baptist Church Deacons. Memorials can be made to the Jefferson Baptist Church Young at Heart Organization and the Gideons.
